Mensagem Project

Contemporary voices in music offer a new context to the words of great Portuguese writers such as Fernando Pessoa, Sophia de Mello Breyner, or Eugénio de Andrade.

Four composers create new musical works for voice and piano taking as a starting point the literary work of a Portuguese author. This is the premise of "Mensagem", a project by soprano Lara Martins and pianist Nuno Marques. Daniel Bernardes (Portugal), Daniel Davis (England), Rodrigo Cardoso (Portugal) and Mariel Mayz (USA) were the guest composers for this project, presented in France, USA, and Portugal.
