Discover the diverse tapestry of contemporary European literature and meet the authors and translators shaping it.
From untold intimate stories of Franz Kafka and post-Soviet autofiction to travel journals and anthropological essays, ELN 2024 is an exploration of diverse contemporary writing reckoning with the past. Join us for an evening in the presence of Czech, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Swiss authors, German and Polish translators, and Portuguese musicians.
This year's program will feature readings and discussions in small groups with authors and translators, panel discussions moderated by Sabir Sultan and Clarisse Rosaz Shariyf of PEN America, and a musical performance by Nuno Marques, Maria Brea, and Maryel Mayz.
